Why Both Lobes Cost Less Than Two Repairs

If both earlobes need repair, the price is £900 for the pair, not £1,100 (two separate £550 repairs).
That is because both lobes are repaired in the same appointment, under one set-up, so the saving is passed on to you.
Many people who have worn heavy or gauged earrings have damage on both sides, so it is worth asking the surgeon to
assess both lobes at the consultation even if only one is bothering you.

What Can Change the Cost

The standard prices cover the great majority of repairs. A few situations are priced differently:

• A heavily gauged lobe or a complex reconstruction that needs a wedge excision or local flap to rebuild the lobe. This is more involved than a straightforward closure, so it is priced a little higher: £550 to £700 for one ear and £900 to £1,100 for both, with the exact figure confirmed at the consultation.

• Keloid-prone patients. Any scar-management we add, a steroid injection at stitch removal and night-time compression earrings, is included in the price. The only extra is the compression earrings, which patients buy themselves for about £10.

The type of tear does not change the price: a complete tear, a partial tear and a high split where the
lobe meets the face are all the same for a standard repair. What does not change either is the quality:

The Consultation Fee

The £100 consultation is where a consultant plastic surgeon examines your lobe, confirms which repair it needs, answers
your questions and gives you the exact cost in writing. It is a genuine specialist assessment, not a sales appointment.
A £50 deposit is taken when you book, and it comes off your £100 consultation fee. The consultation fee
is separate from the procedure and is not redeemable against the surgery, so if you go ahead the repair
fee is paid on top. You are never under any obligation to proceed after the consultation.

Paying for Your Repair

We accept all major debit and credit cards, and the repair fee is paid on the day of the procedure. A £50 deposit, taken
when you book and credited to your consultation fee, secures your appointment. We do not currently offer payment plans or
finance. We also do not bill private medical insurance directly, but we are happy to provide a letter or complete a form
so you can claim back from your insurer yourself, where your policy allows. Because earlobe repair is a planned, cosmetic

Why a Consultant Costs More Than a Cheap Deal

You will see earlobe repair advertised more cheaply elsewhere, sometimes by non-surgeons or at high-street studios. It is
